The Standards for Excellence:

An Ethics and Accountability Code for the Nonprofit Sector

Based on the core values of honesty, integrity, fairness, respect, trust, compassion, and responsibility; The Standards for Excellence serve as a model of how well managed, responsibly governed, nonprofit organizations operate.

• Standards for Excellence, A Project of the Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations
  • Maryland launched and continues to provide a wide array of services to encourage its implementation as well as a voluntary, leadership based certification program for nonprofit organizations interested in demonstrating that they abide by the Standards for Excellence. 

   

• Standards for Excellence Institute
• Nationally the Institute provides organizations direct access to Standards for Excellence resources.  To learn more, become a member and take advantage of our programs and services including our soon to be released national certification, visit the Standards for Excellence Institute.
